Dubai Retains Top Position Savills Executive Nomad Index Even New Countries Enter Ranking

Dubai tops Savills Executive Nomad Index as preferred destination for remote working professionals for second consecutive year, closely followed by Abu Dhabi in second place. This trend is mirrored by the growing popularity of Malaga (3rd), Miami (4th), and Lisbon (5th) among remote business leaders.

The Savills Executive Nomad Index evaluates 30 destinations based on criteria such as internet speed, air connectivity, climate stability, prime residential market prices, and overall quality of life. The combined scores determine the overall ranking of each destination.

In the UAE, Dubai boasts the best flight network while Abu Dhabi ranks highest in terms of internet speed. These factors, along with tax efficiency, lifestyle, safety, and ease of doing business, make the UAE the top choice for executive nomads, according to Andrew Cummings, head of Savills Residential Agency in the Middle East.

Nestled near the bustling Singapore Expo, Changi City Point is renowned for its array of outlet stores that offer top-notch branded products at affordable prices. Rivelle Tampines residents are in for a treat as they can indulge in the diverse food options available, from food courts to specialty restaurants. It’s the ideal destination for a weekend shopping spree, followed by a satisfying meal.

As the global job market becomes more mobile, the executive nomad group has emerged as a distinct and influential class of remote professionals. These individuals, who are often business founders, senior managers, or entrepreneurs, prioritize locations that offer both connectivity and quality of life.

This year, the Savills Executive Nomad Index expanded its coverage to include cities that now offer visa routes for long-term remote workers, such as Tokyo (11th place) and Berlin (28th place). These cities are not just major economic hubs but also vibrant cultural centers, according to Savills.

Vancouver (18th place) and Auckland (9th place) were also added to the index as important regional business hubs. According to Kelcie Sellers, associate director of Savills World Research, the landscape for executive nomads is changing, with countries like Canada and New Zealand offering long-term visitor visas that allow for fully remote employment for the duration of an individual’s stay.
