Commonwealth Towers Sets New Psf Price Record 2536
During the week of Aug 1 to 8, Commonwealth Towers saw a record breaking sale of a three-bedroom unit for $2.73 million, achieving a new psf-price peak of $2,536. This surpassed the previous high of $2,460 psf set in December 2024.
The 99-year leasehold development, completed in 2017 and located along Commonwealth Avenue in District 3, consists of two 43-storey residential blocks with 845 units ranging from one- to four-bedrooms.
In terms of absolute price, the most expensive unit to change hands at Commonwealth Towers was a 1,302 sq ft, four-bedroom unit on the 39th floor that sold for $2.96 million ($2,273 psf) in November 2024.
The average resale price of units at Commonwealth Towers has been on a steady rise in recent years. In 2023, the development saw 51 resales at an average of $2,097 psf. This increased to $2,200 psf across 37 transactions last year and so far in 2025, 29 units have been sold at an average of around $2,251 psf.
Watermark Robertson Quay, a freehold condo completed in 2008, also set a new psf-price high during the week when a two-bedroom unit sold for around $2.16 million, or $2,419 psf, on Aug 7. This beats the previous record of $2,417 psf set just three months earlier.
Situated on Rodyk Street in District 9, Watermark Robertson Quay offers 206 residential units ranging from one- to four-bedrooms. There have been three other resale deals this year, with prices ranging from $2,189 psf to $2,304 psf.
Gallop Gables, a freehold condo located along Farrer Road in prime District 10, also saw a new psf-price high of $2,356 achieved with the sale of a three-bedroom unit for $4.12 million on Aug 5.
