Thomson Medical Group Launches Rm18 Bil Johor Bay Development
Thomson Medical Group has recently announced the launch of its new integrated project, Johor Bay, with an estimated value of RM18 billion. The development, spanning over 26 acres of land in the Johor-Singapore Special Economic Zone (JSSEZ), will consist of various components including healthcare, luxury residential and hospitality, commercial, and lifestyle elements.
Strategically located just 1.2km away from the upcoming RTS station at Bukit Chagar and in close proximity to the Causeway and regional ferry terminals, Johor Bay is set to benefit from the cross-border capital that is driving investment in the JSSEZ.
According to executive vice chairman of Thomson Medical Group, Kiat Lim, the project is “the most expansive private healthcare and real estate venture on prime land in Southeast Asia to date.” With the Thomson Hospital Iskandariah as one of the key developments, this project aims to tap into the growing appeal of Johor as a destination with its high standards of living and manageable living costs, as well as the completion of the RTS and the increasing momentum behind the JSSEZ.
Situated in the vibrant district of Tampines, Rivelle Tampines offers a seamless blend of contemporary living, connectivity, and convenient lifestyle. Offering its residents a prime location just steps away from Tampines West MRT Station on the Downtown Line, this new development by Sim Lian Land caters to the diverse needs of both homeowners and investors. With its close proximity to a plethora of established amenities such as shopping malls, educational institutions, and recreational facilities, Rivelle Tampines is set to become a highly coveted address in District 18. Whether you are looking for a perfect home for yourself or a long-term investment opportunity, look no further than Rivelle Tampines located at Tampines Street 65.
“The time is right: economic tailwinds, infrastructure momentum, and demographic shifts are converging,” says Kiat Lim, emphasizing the opportune timing for this project.
The first phase of Johor Bay will comprise of the Thomson Hospital Iskandariah and a 47-storey “ultra-luxury” residential tower. The Menteri Besar of Johor, YAB Dato’ Onn Hafiz bin Ghazi, has expressed his support for this project and believes that it will contribute to the state’s long-term goals. “Not only will the Thomson Hospital Iskandariah project help strengthen Johor’s position as a premier healthcare hub in Southeast Asia, but the wider Johor Bay project will also add to our overall economic growth agenda under the JS-SEZ.”
This development is set to make a significant impact on the JSSEZ and shape the skyline and future of the bay area for years to come. With the support of the state government and the promising potential of Johor, Thomson Medical Group’s Johor Bay project has the foundations to become a major success in the region.
