Lululemon, a popular Canadian athletic apparel retailer, has just announced their new corporate headquarters in Shanghai. The company has signed a lease for an entire office block at Westbund Central, a mixed-use development by Hongkong Land. This new office space, which spans 96,800 square feet and is located on five floors, will serve as Lululemon’s China Store Support Centre.

Managing director for Lululemon China, San Yan Ng, says that moving into Westbund Central is a significant move for the company. He believes that the new headquarters will truly reflect the brand’s purpose and culture. Stuart Grant, executive director and chief executive of Westbund Central, also expressed his excitement for this new partnership, stating that the China Store Support Centre will provide Lululemon staff with access to premium interconnected workspaces in the heart of Westbund Central.

Lululemon is not the first sports retailer to lease space at Westbund Central. In August, Adidas also announced their plans to lease an 18-storey building with 348,750 square feet of office space at the development. The building is expected to be handed over in the first quarter of 2026, with full occupancy by the fourth quarter of the same year.

Westbund Central is a massive US$8 billion development consisting of approximately 1.7 million square meters of prime mixed-use space along Shanghai’s Xuhui waterfront. The commercial development includes 240,000 square meters of retail space, 650,000 square meters of Grade A office space, 160,000 square meters of luxury residences, two hotels operated by Mandarin Oriental Group, and over 50,000 square meters of cultural and art venues.
